POSITION: RN, Noncritical, OBGYN, Part-Time Days
The Registered Nurse as a Staff Nurse performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients. Meets Standards of Care and Standards of Practice. Supervises assigned personnel. Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Graduate from a school of nursing
BSN Preferred
AACN National Certification Preferred
Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/Director.
Management of Aggressive Behavior/De-escalation Techniques course (CPI/Hospital approved course within 90 days of hire).
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Current Nevada RegisTered Nurse License
Valid CPR (American Heart Association or Hospital approved CPR course) required
BLS
ONS Chemotherapy Certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire as need by the specific unit) ONS (certification) required within 6 months of hire, transfer and/or currently in position (Oncology only)
Management of Aggressive Behavior/De-escalation Techniques course (CPI/hospital approved course within 90 days of hire).
Completes a competency skills checklist within 90 days of employment
Attend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by manager/director
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year experience in acute care preferred
Management of Aggressive Behavior
Associate's Degree/College Diploma
