Position Description Summary:The AEC/BIM Systems Manager is responsible for developing and managing Southland’s enterprise AEC systems. This position will develop the AEC Systems Team and manage projects and suppliers to ensure seamless support and governance of Southland’s AEC Systems and environment. In addition, the AEC Systems Manager is responsible for managing and continuously improving our AEC specific applications environment as well as the licensing and software infrastructure for all our AEC applications including all Autodesk products. What you'll do:

  • Proactively manages and maintains AEC Application Systems and all applicable licensing and configurations

  • Identifies performance inefficiencies, issues, risks, and recommends solutions, and ensures development of processes to evaluate effectiveness of AEC systems

  • Evaluates and improves business processes and existing configurations and to partner with other internal IT teams

  • Leads varying projects collaboratively that include large strategic projects that involve multiple business functions and organizational units to satisfactory completion

  • Recommends and implements standard AEC application management tools, develops system specifications, and recommends application software development

  • Works with other internal IT teams on supporting and managing new technological developments and implementations as appropriate

    What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an engineering, construction, and Information Technology environment

  • A minimum 7 years IT experience with AEC or BIM

  • Methods and techniques used in the installation, administration, monitoring, upgrading and problem resolution of AEC application software systems

  • Experience and or knowledge of networking and systems administration and providing IT support, support processes, ticketing systems a plus

  • Knowledge of Autodesk products - Revit, AutoCAD, CADmep, CAMduct, Navisworks, BIM360 etc is strongly preferred

  • Basic budgeting, contracting, purchasing practices, policies and procedures
