Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Enterprise Analytics Systems is to identify and extract data from the enterprise while focusing on data governance, accessibility, communication, and accessibility for reporting and analytics. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian | The Palazzo Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a go-between for IT and the Business in translating business requirements into functional IT requirements.

  • Create links throughout various systems and databases allowing the Enterprise Analytics team to create reporting and dashboards that are automated and accurate.

  • Analyze large datasets and develop insights into business performance and variance analysis.

  • Support creation of dashboards and reports, showing KPI’s for department management.

  • Close collaboration with IT to centralize data sources and maintain data integrity and with senior department leaders to identify relevant data necessary to further their success.

  • Cross-train other internal users in how to consume the data products developed.

  • Train users in creating their own dashboards and reports as well as standardize and automate reports.

  • Standardize different dashboards and reports into a unified look and feel.

  • Use reports and dashboards to identify revenue generating opportunities and present those opportunities to senior leadership and persuade them to adopt changes.

  • Build and maintain a strong performing team through providing leadership, appropriate delegation, coaching and training of direct reports.

  • An understanding of the business and the businesses’ underlying data is critical.

  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience in data analytics, computer science, economics, engineering or business intelligence.

  • Master’s Degree or MBA in related field is a strongly preferred.

  • Five plus years’ experience working with data systems, large data sets, data mining and discovery.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

  • Proven ability to serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership.

  • Experience partnering with technology departments to solve complex business problems.

  • Ability to thrive in a heavy ad hoc environment while managing multiple projects.

  • Prior experience leading and managing a team.

  • Power user of Microsoft Office products.

  • Highly skilled in tools such as TIBCO Spotfire, SQL Server, SAS Enterprise Guide and SharePoint.

  • Versed in coding languages such as R, Iron Python and others relevant to predictive analytics.

  • Passion for data analytics and successful creation and use of databases.

  • Hotel and/or Casino industry knowledge is preferred.

  • High energy, self-motivator with a constant drive to improve and find better ways to acquire and communicate data.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
