Responsible for providing senior level support for monitoring, tracking, and inspecting inbound freight to meet customer needs. Ensures freight is delivered on time. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and inspect inbound freight to meet customers' needs.
  • Ensure freight is delivered on time in the most cost efficient manner.
  • Route, track, and investigate shipping problems and follow-up with customers.
  • Inspect inbound and/or outbound freight.
  • Quote rates, processes, and documents shipment orders.
  • Prepare paperwork for routing, close out files and send documents out on a timely basis.
  • Communicate pick-ups requested by customers to dispatch.
  • Inform customers of arrival and departures of freight.
  • Verify and update shipment information into the system.
  • Train new employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum five years related experience.
  • Minimum three years industry experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
  • Communicate pick-ups requested by customers to dispatch.
  • Inform customers of arrival and departures of freight.
  • Verify and update shipment information into the system.
  • Train new employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
