WestCare Assistant Program Director in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Description:

Position Summary: Person in this position will assist the team in the areas of program and policy development. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Intake and evaluation of clients needing services;

  • Responsible for all aspects of treatment for all clients.

  • Responsible for training and supervision of all staff;

  • Assists the Director will program design, development, and implementation of residential treatment and transitional programs;

  • Coordinates client treatment with the other WestCare Nevada programs/staff;

  • Provides regular reports regarding programs and clients;

  • Responsible for facility compliance with health, fire, and other regulatory standards;

  • Provides quality improvement reviews on all counselor files on a monthly basis;

  • Provides counselor observation and clinical supervision on a regular basis;

  • Meets with staff and treatment team on a once a week basis;

  • Report to the Director at a minimum of once weekly;

  • Review each employee’s job performance on a yearly basis (or more often if necessary). Hire and terminate employees with advice and consent from the Director, Vice President and Director of Human Resources.

  • Acts as a WestCare representative/liaison with other agencies;

  • Attend regular professional education classes/workshops to continuously upgrade job skills or promote the image of the agency;

  • Respond to all emergency situations that would necessitate the Program Coordinator’s intervention;

  • Insure that all required policies and procedures of WestCare Nevada, Inc. are carried out.

  • Assists with routine physical examination and health assessments and train staff in emergency medical techniques, and

  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation.

  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Outstanding critical thinking and creative problem solving skills

  • Exhaustive research ability

  • 5+ years experience in research/communication fields

  • Professional demeanor Education:

  • Advanced degree in related field
